We have suffered a lot, but love keeps us together and makes us stonger!

"[M]any nations of the third world are described as ‘underdeveloped’. These less wealthy nations are generally those that suffered under colonialism and neo-colonialism. The ‘developed’ nations are those that exploited their resources and wealth. Therefore, rather than referring to these countries as ‘underdeveloped’, a more appropriate and meaningful designation might be ‘over exploited’. Again, transpose this term next time you read about the ‘underdeveloped nations’ and note the different meaning that results."

Report describes brutal torture in Syria

[TW: sickening accounts of torture]

“Basat al reeh.” “Dulab.” “Falaqa.” They are Arabic names for torture techniques that send chills through the hearts of Syrians, particularly the untold thousands who are believed to have been detained during the uprising of the last 15 months. [x]

Saudi Arabia launches donation campaign for people of Syria

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud launched a national donation campaign for Syria on Monday following evening prayers. The campaign will be under the supervision of Interior Minister Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-SaudThe three-day telethon on Saudi TV channels to raise funds began at 11:00 P.M. Monday and was scheduled to continue till 3:00 A.M.In a statement issued Saturday, the Ministry of Interior urged all citizens to contribute to this campaign and offer their donations. The ministry also announced that the campaign will cover all parts of the kingdom so that all Saudi citizens will get the chance to offer the people of Syria what they can to help them in their time of need.

The donation campaign is set to continue for the next five days.

Those who wish to help, are able to make donations via designated banks across the kingdom.

The Saudi cabinet, presided by King Abdullah, has more than once expressed its outrage towards the escalation of violence in Syria, particularly on the part of the regime of President Bashar al-Assad which has been demonstrated over the course of the past 16 months. The Syrian regime, said the cabinet, is violating all Arab and international commitments.

Thanks Saudi Arabia!

This is Mazzeh, located in the oldest continuously inhabited capital on Earth: Damascus, Syria.

Assad is destroying it. A ‘President’ is literally destroying his own capital.

Pray for Syria.

Where Can Syria’s Asma Assad Go? – The Daily Beast

“Doubtlessly, the evacuation plan for Assad’s wife, children, mother, and other family members has been ready for a long time,” says Yuri Krupnov, a pro-Kremlin analyst. “Everybody is going to be moved to Moscow safely as soon as it is really needed.” Illustrating the tricky diplomacy matters that would prevent many other nations from sheltering the Assads, Krupnov dismissed the chance that neighboring Belarus would become a new home for the first lady, given investments in Belarus by Gulf states: “[Belarussian president Alexander] Lukashenko will not do it—he cannot risk investments and contracts with Qatar,” Krupnov said.

But, unlike two other likely possibilities for the Assad family’s exile—Tunisia and Iran—Russia has earned a reputation as a welcoming place for tyrants’ families. The fact that human-rights groups accuse President Assad of commanding troops that have killed over 10,000 victims would probably not stop Moscow from welcoming the “Rose of Desert,” as Syrians once called his wife for her beauty, manners and excellent education.

I would not be surprised if Asma Al-Assad was in Russia already. After all, Russia and Bashar & Asma Al-Assad seem to be very fond of each other….

Besides, I find it extremely ironic that Asma’s hope is in fleeing to Russia. Now she cannot pretend she is civilised while she speaks British. She will even have to teach her children Russian lol.

Not that people will ever let them continue their criminal lives just as so, but whatever..

Al-Rekhawi ends 102-day hunger strike

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Akram al-Rekhawi has ended a 102-day hunger strike in an Israeli prison after reaching a release deal.

Israeli prison services spokeswoman Sivan Weizman told Ma’an that al-Rekhawi ended the strike on…

Wow after serving 8 years and hunger striking over 3 months, he will be released 6 months earlier than the original sentence.
I am really glad he will be free and pray that Allah will strengthen him throughout the next 6 months.
Not only did they captivate him for all these years as an individual, they stole his childrens’ childhoods.
